**CCTV Control Room Operative**

Balfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a **CCTV Control Room Operative **within the** Sitewide and Logistics team.**

This role will be based on site in Coleshill. Our head office is based located within an excellent location easily accessible via the M6 and M42. The office is also accessible via rail, we offer employees a shuttle bus transfer to our office from Birmingham international.

**Role description**:

- Based at our CCTV Control Room at Coleshill, Birmingham, our CCTV service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a shift system and may include periods of lone working. The shift pattern includes 4 shifts on duty (2 day shifts and 2-night shifts) followed by 4 shifts off duty, including weekends and public holidays. Each shift period is 12 hours.
- To operate and monitor the CCTV system in accordance with the Code of Practice, Procedure Manual and other guidelines and procedures. You will be involved in the monitoring of the closed circuit TV (CCTV) systems operating in and around the HS2 project and work closely with Security staff and other agencies to provide assistance in the early detection of crime, disorder and emergency incidents.

**Experienced required**:

- A current Security Industry Authority (SIA), Front Line License for a CCTV Operator.
- Experience in in a CCTV/Traffic control room environment.
- Working knowledge of General Data protection Regulations (GDPR) and The Data Protection Act 2018, criminal law, Human Rights Act 1998.
- Effective communicator: oral, written, and aural with good I.T. skills.
- Good concentration skills with attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure in stressful situations and to remain calm and detached.
- Good Customer Care Skills and telephone manner.
- Required to observe developing situations, assess risk, monitor incident, and communicate clearly and concisely.
- High level of problem solving, regarding CCTV system, Physical needs, good eyesight (with or without glasses), good hearing, good hand eye co-ordination and clear speech

- Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
