Support Workers

I am a 39 year old male with autism living within my own home in Hawick. I require 24 hour care and

need support with most of my day-to-day tasks and any social activities. I am currently looking for

one or two new team members to join my team.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- I require support with all aspects of my personal care.
- Support with my medication, ensuring accurate recording at all times.
- Planning and preparation of all my meals - I will also need assistance and supervision when

eating to ensure I do not choke.
- I would love a team of carers who would be able to take me out and about and allow me to

access the community and participate in activities I enjoy such as swimming or going out for

lunch.
- Any other tasks as required.

**Personal attributes**
- Someone with a genuine caring nature who is sensitive to the problems a disability can

bring.
- Cheerful with a good sense of humour.
- Honest, reliable and confidential.
- Experience of moving and handling or willing to undergo the relevant training.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

**Hours of work**
- Hours of work will be 20 per week with additional sleepovers.
- Working patterns vary but you will always be given your rota in advance.
- Day shifts are always double-ups and night shifts will require lone working.

**The terms**
- Monday - Friday: £11.00 per hour.
- Saturday and Sunday: £12.50 per hour.
- Night shifts are paid at: £84.87 per shift.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave calculated on a pro-rata basis.
