An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual working as Team Leader Crisis, Resolution & Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) for Older Adults mental health service in the Cambridge area.
The team provides assessment and short term treatment in the community for people who might otherwise need admission to an acute psychiatric unit. It offers support to those in hospital and are ready for early discharge. The team works with older adults with functional needs and people with dementia.
You will have a keen interest and experience of working with adults with mental health needs. You will participate in the development of the service and will be supervising, providing clinical leadership and line managing the mental health staff in the team. You will also be participating in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment process and will support service users and carers, offering information and sign-posting to other agencies.
You will work closely with colleagues from the multi-disciplinary team (psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists and others)and offer appointments to service users in their own homes. You will participate in and lead clinical and operational meetings and will participate in triaging referrals, allocation of work and support the wider team in meeting relevant targets.
