**About the role**

The position will sit within our Supply Chain team and is a ‘Fixed Term Contract’ for a period of 12 months. The Production Planner will manage the planning processes across the UK site. Ensure production plan is optimised to meet customer demand and manufacturing efficiency within agreed business parameters, in addition to providing medium and long term demand and supply data for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).

**Key responsibilities**

Using the site’s ERP (M3) system, generate and schedule optimised weekly production plans to support both safety stock and firm customer demand.

Utilise firm and forecasted demand to drive raw material requirements. Where required, plan secondary manufactured raw materials with the relevant manufacturing plants ensuring all raw materials are available.

Liaise with the Purchasing Team to ensure raw material deliveries are aligned to the scheduled production plans, setting priorities if required and escalating any issues as required.

To be the supply chain link between the Customer Service, Manufacturing and Purchasing Teams to manage production constraints.

Attend the daily and weekly Production Meetings in order to monitor progress against the production plan and proactively manage actual or potential delays with the Customer Service Team to minimise impact on customer service levels.

Responsible for the regular review and maintenance of the planning parameters within the ERP (M3) system, e.g. MOQs, planning rates, leadtimes, safety stock levels, etc., to ensure the system is aligned to current capabilities and that inventory levels are aligned to customer service requirements and business expectations.

Maintain the Schedule and Volume Adherence KPIs for designated production plant.

Liaise closely with the Commercial Business, Sales and Product Management Teams, as well as all other business functions, to improve systems and processes and ensure the provision of a consistently efficient, effective and high quality service to customers.

Manage sub-contracting process and related ERP (M3) system activity.

Manage the required manufacturing slots with the sub-contractors within agreed leadtimes and raise the required Purchase Orders to confirm.

Generate and schedule the required production plans for the raw materials required by the sub-contractors.

Raise required Distribution Orders to despatch the raw materials to the sub-contractors and ensure Certificates of Analysis are available where required.

Receive the product from the sub-contractors against the raised Purchase Order(s). Manage the required QC testing for the received product and record the test data.

Periodically review old stocks at the sub-contractor, liaise with QC to determine appropriate actions to reduce through either blending or writing off.

Monitor sub-contractors’ performance, identify areas for improvement and implement the required corrective actions.

**About you**

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, as to interpret multiple streams of data accurately. Confident in building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.

**Salary & benefits**:The salary for the position will be in the range of £29,000 - £34,000 dependent upon experience.
