Groundsperson

We are searching for a Grounds Person in Gillingham, Dorset. This is a permanent, full time position.
- **What you will do.**_

As a Grounds Person you will conduct general grounds maintenance of open spaces, play areas, and landscaped areas. This will include grass cutting, watering, weeding, hedge cutting, clearing leaves, debris and litter, installation, and hard landscape work. You will also conduct inspections of equipment where required.
- Build and maintain outdoor structures such as fences, benches, and pathways.
- Perform general groundskeeping duties including mowing, edging, and weeding.
- Dig and prepare soil for planting and gardening.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning and trimming.
- Operate and maintain power and hand tools.
- **Skills and experience.**_

We are looking for someone with a horticultural qualification or willing to take a qualification, or relevant experience. You should be able to use your initiative and produce good results with a minimum amount of supervision. You will need a full driving licence to be able to drive a company vehicle.
- Experience in grounds maintenance or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques and practices
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
