Kingston upon Hull, United Kingdom Hull Culture & Leisure Full time

Do you have a passion for children’s literature and getting children and young people reading for pleasure?

Would your dream job involve creating a magical experience for children and families in Hull based on both of these?

Could you take a major children’s cultural event to the next level?

If you can answer yes to all of the above you might just be the person we’re looking for to continue the journey of The Big Malarkey Festival, an amazing family festival established by Hull Libraries during Hull’s time as UK City of Culture.

Hull Library Service is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational person who will be responsible for managing and delivering a fun and inspiring world class family festival including, fund-raising, managing funding streams and reporting to funders, overseeing the practical organisation, and communication and collaboration with partners to create a festival experience that makes audiences, speakers and sponsors want to come back for more.

The Big Malarkey Festival is one of the highlights of the Library Service calendar, designed to showcase the magical world libraries offer to children and their families, you will work closely with the Library Service teams to ensure libraries remain at the heart of The Big Malarkey Festival.
