DESCRIPTION

A new opportunity has come to market for a Claims Handler to work for a well-established insurance brokerage in the East Lancashire region as part of their busy commercial team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual with claims experience either in the commercial field or in home/motor with the desire to progress into a commercial position.
THE ROLE:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Handling client insurance claims from initial report to conclusion with professionalism and skill reaching a satisfactory settlement.
- Dealing with a wide variety of commercial classes
- Liaising with Insurers, Clients, Third Parties and professional bodies to reach a satisfactory conclusion for their clients.
- Compile, record and process documents, dealing with customers, insurers and other business partners.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Previous experience working in a claims capacity is essential.
- A background in commercial claims is desirable, however experience in personal motor or home claims with the desire to get into commercial will be equally considered.
- Strong work ethic with the right attitude and desire to learn, progress and develop.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to question and probe where necessary.
