**Salary - £24,702 to £26,421 (starting at £24, 702 with incremental pay awards annually).**

**Enhancements will also be paid for weekend and bank holiday working**

**Working Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week - On a rolling 12-week rota covering weekends and bank holidays**

This varied role covers on an off-street parking enforcement, car park operations and environmental crime.

In this job, every day is different, but you will be working outside in the community enforcing on street parking issues like parking too long in a parking bay or on yellow lines. You will also help with making sure the car parks run effectively and dealing with customer’s enquiries. The role also covers environmental issues such as littering, enforcement of dog control orders and problems with bins and waste.

You will travel to your patrol routes on foot or in a vehicle. You will provide support, and advice to businesses and landowners to tackle issues affecting them. You will collect evidence for environmental notices and work to resolve low level environmental issues by giving advice and support.

What you’ll do:

- Patrol off street car parks and attend to minor machine faults.
- Record and issue on street Parking Charge Notices.
- Report defective signs and road markings, identifying and reporting any issues.
- Explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilities.
- Complete patrols of allocated routes, enforcing parking contraventions and providing a visual presence and reassurance to the public.
- Limit the incidences of dog fouling, littering and waste issues.

What you'll bring to the role:

- You’ll need to be assertive and polite when dealing with people.
- A calm and professional approach to handle difficult situations.
- Experience of working in a customer service role is highly valued and an ideal transferable skill for this role.
