The Government’s flagship agenda of ‘Levelling Up’ speaks in terms of both addressing inequality between local places, whilst improving opportunity in all places. Delivery of this agenda requires a strong focus on place; local solutions to local problems.As district councils we believe we are best placed to help understand and enable and support our communities and local population.

Working in a matrix structure with all our service areas, this role will help us to think differently about the way we deliver services, the way that we engage and empower the local community, and to work closely alongside our Councillors and Town and ParishCouncils to enable delivery of agendas as diverse as developing community infrastructure, leadership and our green agenda..

An exciting opportunity has arisen at South Norfolk and Broadland Councils to be a part of our One Team supporting two councils. We have the opportunity, to rethink the way we do business over a scale of circa 250,000 population and 120,000 households. Afixed term role is required to work directly to the Director of People and Communities to develop our agenda and delivery of ‘Pride in Place’.

**You must have**
- Experience of leading and managing teams in a matrix manner in a complex environment.
- To be a skilled communicator, able to explain our work, influence and build support both internally and externally including working with partners as appropriate.
- A proven track record of strategic development and programme delivery in a complex and political environment and gaining buy in with a wide range of stakeholders.
- To show evidence of continued professional development in a relevant field.
- To be commercially focused and results driven.
- Strong organisational skills with project management experience thus enabling the meeting of deadlines.
