We are a leading provider of cutting-edge cooling technologies for high-performance computing, with a mission to reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Stores Assistant to join our Procurement and Supply Chain Team at our HQ based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park.

**Role purpose**:
This role provides a critical service to the rest of the business.

Maintaining the effective flow of materials inbound and outbound whilst minimising loss or damage. Becoming a key influencer on the sales and operational effectiveness of the organisation.

**Areas of responsibility and tasks**:

- **Goods In/Goods Out**:

- Check delivered goods against paperwork to ensure correct items have been delivered, in the correct quantity and without damage
- Accurately booking in items using ERP and manual processes ensuring KPI’s are met
- Unloading deliveries
- Location of stock, issuing shortages, stock counts etc.
- Interacting with Supply Chain team members and production staff on daily needs and prioritising workload
- Carry out basic quality checks on goods receipt (aesthetics, form, quantity)
- **Stock holding / Stock accuracy / Stock recording**:

- Perform cyclical stock counting and stock takes as required both onsite and offsite
- Control access to goods and materials
- Decline the movement of stock without proper documentation and correct authority
- Store parts in a logical, structural method and manage ease of traceability
- Follow quarantine and stock discrepancy procedures
- **Despatch/Import & Export**:

- Identify most appropriate packaging for storage of high value/critical parts
- Complete necessary labelling and paperwork
- Liaise with forwarders and internal personell to ensure timely collection of goods
- Maintain levels of suitable packaging material
- **Housekeeping**:

- Maintain high standard of housekeeping and safety
- Identify areas for process improvement within area

**Skill and Experience**:

- Previous experience in a warehouse / stores environment
- Experience of Stores within an Engineering environment
- Familiarity with Electronic and IT parts and components
- Experience of picking and packing, working from a pick list
- Experience of general kitting of parts towards R&D service orders, production works orders and general development requests.
- Computer literate - Experience with Microsoft
- FLT Licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
