Talent Acquisition Partner

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Jacksons for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team on a permanent basis.

Job Summary

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Partner with hiring managers and the people team to establish recruitment strategies and assess talent needs to ensure alignment with business objectives and company values.
- Develop trusted relationships with hiring managers and departments to understand business priorities, roles, and talent needs both in the short and longer term.
- Source and screen CVs for minimum qualifications, work history and other knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Continuously improve interview questions, frameworks, and interview materials to support hiring managers in conducting fair and effective interviews.
- Develop the capability of hiring managers in relation to interviewing and selection.
- Design and lead the wider Talent strategy and integrated recruitment ambitions.
- Manage and develop relationships with recruitment suppliers, including job boards, recruitment system providers and Recruitment Agencies.
- Continuously develop, streamline, and enhance the hiring process.
- Effective management of recruitment costs and budgets.
- Advanced knowledge of programs including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn, Total Jobs etc.
- Understand how changes in business strategy impact staffing needs.
- Demonstrated experience with interviewing methodology, behavioural and competency interviewing.
- Solid knowledge of basic HR employment laws and regulations.
- Development of our employer brand through social media campaigns.
- Knowledge of creative and innovative sourcing techniques.
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to always perform with a high level of ethical and professional behaviour.
- Comfortable working independently, as well as within a team setting.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees within the organisation.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and ensure timely deadlines are met.

You will:

- Have experience of onsite recruitment/talent background
- Have excellent relationship management and relationship development skills for the business partnering responsibilities of the role.
- Have operated in a standalone talent/recruitment role previously and able to work with mínimal instruction.
- Be methodical and take an organised approach.
- Be proactive with excellent communication and time management skills.
- Be self-motivated, be able to work under pressure and can deal easily with ambiguity.

A little bit about us and our history

Jacksons is part of William Jackson Food Group, a sixth-generation family business founded by William Jackson when he opened his first shop in Hull in September 1851. Today we have a portfolio of four food businesses in distinct, yet complimentary market areas, employing around 2,000 people.

We have occupied the current site in Hull since 1907 and we now have 3 bread plants in our main bakery. We recently developed a second bakery, also at our site in Hull, which specialises in premium quality roll production.

We specialise in the supply of bread and other carriers to the sandwich manufacturers, foodservice and export channels, and in 2012 we launched our consumer facing brand “Jackson’s of Yorkshire”.

In 2018 we opened a brand-new site in Corby, Northamptonshire - one of the largest investments our Group has ever made - and this will allow us to realise our ambition of being the best at what we do.
