**Volunteer Support Assistant**

At Beatson Cancer Charity we support and enhance the treatment, care and wellbeing of current, former and future cancer patients and their families. We work in partnership with the NHS, The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and all related facilities. We also offer the wider community a unique opportunity to contribute to the fight against cancer in the broadest possible sense.

**Title**:Volunteer Support Assistant**

**Reporting to**:Volunteer Manager**

**Salary**:£21,000 per annum**

**Contract**:Permanent**

**Hours**:35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm**

**Annual Leave: 40 days per annum (inclusive of Public Holidays)**

**Pension**:7% employer and 3% employee contribution**

**Key Responsibilities**
- To maintain accurate records within the volunteer databases, including Better Impact and TM3 in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) requirements.
- Support the volunteer team to generate relevant data and regular statistics for reporting.
- Work alongside other teams, including Trading, Fundraising and Wellbeing, to fulfil volunteer requirements.
- Computer literacy e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Particular emphasis on experience using contact databases.
- Experience of producing regular reports within agreed parameters.
- Skilled communicator both written and verbal, experience of working in a patient/public facing role.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of GDPR, Confidentiality and all related legislation
- Experience of working in a diverse and multi-skilled team.

- A positive attitude and flexible approach.
- An organised, multitasker with a passion to make a difference.
