Woodlands Day Care is Ofsted rated Good and is a home-based setting with diversity and a long-standing team. We have a mixture of qualified staff members including Level 2, 3, 6 and 7. We have a lovely secluded outside area which our Preschool have free flow access to and the whole nursery enjoy daily.

We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join our growing team and provide the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with management, colleagues and parents.

This role is working 40 hours per week, various shift patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:15am-18:30pm (18:00pm on Friday's).This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have childcare experience. Salary starting from £10.42 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

**As Nursery Assistant, you will**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
- Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
- Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

**As Nursery Assistant, you will need**:

- Undertaking a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification - desirable
- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Over 6 months experience of working in Early Years - essential
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
