**About the Role**:

- One_Norwich Practices is recruiting a vaccination team lead to be responsible for developing our immunisation programme and to work as part of a dynamic team to deliver a safe and effective vaccination service. This is an exciting opportunity to join and develop a team, which will form an integral part of the Norwich Primary Care Network's immunisation delivery.

The post holder will:

- undertake a clinical supervisory role, overseeing a team of immunisers who deliver a service within care homes and for patients that are house-bound;
- demonstrate effective clinical leadership whilst ensuring governance through audit and collation of data;
- be responsible for line management of the vaccination team including vaccinators and clinical support staff;
- work collaboratively to enable the establishment of good working practices, promoting clinical excellence at all times;
- be present on site, or as part of a roving team, for each vaccination clinic to both administer vaccinations and support staff with clinical queries.

All applicants should have the following registrations, qualifications, skills and experience:

- Registered health care professional e.g., NMC for nurses, GPhC for pharmacists, and equivalent for other healthcare professionals
- Current immunisation training or willingness to undertake
- Further training or experience in a clinical supervisory position
- Previous experience in immunisation and vaccination
- Knowledge of immunisation schedules in accordance with national recommendations
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Previous experience in clinical supervision
- Evidence of continuous personal and professional development and willingness to commit to ongoing CPD
- Understanding of clinical governance and risk assessment
- Clear understanding of safeguarding procedures
- Knowledge of using IT Systems
- Skills for nurturing key relationships and maintaining networks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
- Ability to make decisions on difficult issues where there may be a number of courses of action
- Ability to engender trust and confidence and demonstrate integrity in the provision of advice and support
- Ablility to work under limited supervision using own initiative, organising and prioritising own and others workloads to changing and often tight deadline
- A non-medical prescribing qualification is desirable, but not essential
