Driver / Bearer

We are recruiting for a casual driver / pall bearer to join our close-knit team to support our funeral and carriage master operations.

Full training will be given but you must hold a full driving licence.

Your responsibilities will including:

- Driving our funeral vehicles (hearse and limousines) in a professional manner
- Being one of four Pall Bearers lifting and carrying coffins between the hearse and crematoria, churches and burial sites
- Collection of the deceased from private homes, nursing homes and hospitals with another team member
- Forging strong links with the community and actively engaging with local groups to build the reputation of the business locally
- Experience of Funerals, emergency services or the military is preferred
- Immaculate presentation, with good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to conduct yourself in a dignified and professional manner
- Flexibility to work weekends and unsociable hours when the need arises
- Drive and ambition to contribute meaningfully to our growth and be rewarded for it
- A full driving licence

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 8-12 per week

**Salary**: From £20.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Commercial driving: 1 year (preferred)
- Manual handling: 1 year (preferred)
