Freightserve recruitment are looking for an experienced Import people for a major Heathrow based Freight company based in Feltham, Middlesex.

**Position Summary**

Due to continued growth the company is recruiting for an Import Agent to join their busy Import team, based in their Heathrow office.

The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of daily Import Operations from initial enquiry, through to customs clearance, and shipment recovery.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide a full brokerage service
- Specialist clearances involving The Home Office, DEFRA, CITES, Port Authorities and BIP etc.
- Close managing and monitoring of shipment specific requirements including temperature control
- External communication with clients and service providers
- Internal communications with the network and other UK Departments
- Experience working in The Freight Forwarding Industry
- Good awareness including experience and understanding of customs procedures
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions
- Compliance and client focused with attention to detail
- An effective team player with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Self-motivator with a flexible and positive attitude to work
- Initiative and the ability to prioritise own workload
- Effective communication skills, verbal, written and computer literate
- A strong customer and service delivery focus

Working 8-hour shifts on a Monday - Saturday basis, five days per week between the hours of 06:00-20:00.
