**About The Role**:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the nursing directorate as a Head of Nursing. We are looking for someone who can bring inspiration and innovation to this key role, and who can demonstrate a credible track record of delivery and expertise in clinical leadership, education, quality provision and assurance processes across the organisation.

We recognise the investment needed to develop a confident, competent and engaging nursing workforce and we committed to achieving this through a strong Senior Nursing structure. This new role within the organisation will be pivotal in steering our nursing vision for social care through the key pillars of professional standards, professional practice and professional development.

You will actively promote the ethos of our Kind Care model across the organisation, delivering on the HC-One strategy through strong role modelling and clinical leadership. As a proven leader in nursing, this is an ideal opportunity to be a key influencer in driving the national adult social care agenda forward.

**About You**: You are a Registered Nurse educated to master’s level or with equivalent experience in a health or social care setting and can evidence professional development and updating of clinical skills.

You are a strong influencer with a passion for educating others and supporting professional development and evidence-based practice, a teaching qualification would be desirable.

You will be able to promote excellent relationships with external partners who are integral to adult social care provision. This will include networking, collaborating and participation in national/regional health and social care settings.

You will be a highly effective communicator, confident to deal with a wide range of stakeholders and will be able to provide excellent analytical written reports and presentation

Your leadership skills are based upon influence of others and can demonstrate

working within the complexity of a health care environment that requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Your focus is to ensure a person-centred approach to care delivery as it is at the core of everything you do.

This role is national with regional support to our operational partners. The ability to travel across the UK is required therefore must hold a full UK driving licence.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
