Lead Climber

**Job Summary**: We're seeking an experienced Lead Climber to join our tree surgery company. As a Lead Climber, your main job is safely and efficiently managing tree climbing operations. We need someone with strong climbing skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety.

**Responsibilities**:
**Tree Climbing Operations**: Do advanced tree climbing tasks like pruning, removal, and canopy maintenance.
Use special equipment to climb trees safely.

**Leadership and Team Management**: Lead and supervise a team of climbers, ground crew, and support staff.
Train team members on climbing techniques, safety rules, and equipment use.

**Safety Compliance**:Make sure everyone follows safety rules and company policies during tree climbing.Regularly check for and fix potential safety issues.

**Equipment Maintenance**:Take care of climbing gear, tools, and equipment.
Report any broken equipment and work with the equipment manager for repairs or replacements.

**Client Communication**:Talk to clients to understand their tree care needs and discuss solutions.
Communicate well with clients and the team to make sure everyone is happy with the job.

**Project Planning**:Work with the project manager to plan climbing activities efficiently.
Look at job sites to decide the best climbing techniques and equipment needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Have experience as a Lead Climber or ready to take the next step in tree surgery.
- Hold CS30, CS31, CS38, and CS39 certifications.
- Know a lot about tree species, pruning techniques, and the best practices in the industry.
- Be physically fit and agile.
- Have good leadership and team management skills.
- Be able to work in different weather conditions.
- Communicate well for talking with clients and coordinating with the team.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Redditch, B97 4LB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
