Midlands Care is a family run group of 7 care homes and day centres in the East and West Midlands providing high quality care for the elderly since 1998.

We are looking for a self-motivated Financial Administrator/Bookkeeper with both skill sets. In this role, you will be expected to give an exceptional level of customer service while assisting with the day to day running of our accounting department.

**The role involves, but is not limited to**:

- Assist with the day-to-day operations within the accounts department.
- Purchase invoice management
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into Sage.
- Liaising with our external accountants, clients and suppliers
- Providing support to the operations and sales team where necessary

**Skills Required for the Role**:

- 1 Year Minimum previous experience with Sage accounting.
- Ability to problem solve queries & work unassisted after initial guidance.
- Excellent Word/Excel skills.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Must possess the drive to follow up.
- Very high standard of written and spoken English.
- Willingness to take on responsibility and grow.
- Ability to delegate and manage the work of others

**Key responsibilities**:

- Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the board.
- Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems - while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £21,500.00-£23,000.00 per year
