Remote, United Kingdom Tamworth Borough Council Full time

**TAMWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL**

**PARTNERSHIPS**

**Partnerships Officer Community Safety**

**£28,770 - £31,364 per annum**

**Home working contract**

**37 hours per week**

**Temporary 12-month contract**

Set in the beautiful county of Staffordshire, Tamworth is a vibrant town with rich heritage. Located in the centre of Britain, with a growing population of over 77,000 people, Tamworth is a borough with much to be proud of. Our transport links, unique shopping experience, developing town centre, green spaces, leisure offer, including our cultural and wide-ranging outdoor events programme, as well as our heritage buildings, all help make it a great place to live, work, study, and visit.

In addition to all that Tamworth already has to offer, exciting times are ahead as we embark on a period of significant transformation. Multi-million-pound projects, such as the Future High Street Fund development will help to bring about lasting change and improvements in the future. This will assist with our mission to restore Tamworth town centre as the beating heart of the community, a place that people want to visit, rather than a place they have to visit.

Working for Tamworth Borough Council is more than just a job, it’s about making life better for the people who live and work in the Borough. We recognise that everybody who works at Tamworth Borough Council is key to successfully delivering its aims and objectives. We can’t do this without skilled and ambitious workforce working in a positive environment empowered to do their best.

We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the partnerships team. You will play a key role in working with community safety partners, statutory partners and the voluntary and community sector partners in Tamworth to deliver and support innovative multi-agency approaches to meet the needs of communities and deliver a range of partnership plans and work with the public on prevention and education of issues that affect our communities.

The person we are looking for will have the skills and experience to:

- Work to deliver a range of Community Safety and Earliest Help campaigns/educational initiatives, talks and events with partners using a variety of methods including social media, website, print based and face to face awareness
- Assist the team with anti-social behaviour and environmental crime including evidence gathering, prevention, education and advice with the public and other agencies
- Work with, and support, the voluntary and community sector in their involvement and response to local funding, commissioning and contracting arrangements
- Ensure that the required financial, feedback, statutory and reporting information is collected, analysed and utilised for service delivery decision making
- Work with other directorates to problem solve emerging vulnerability, domestic abuse, criminal exploitation and ASB concerns more effectively
- Act as a SPOC for any future partnership work with the County Council around relevant Districts Data collection

Knowledge of partnership working, community safety, and anti-social behaviour within the voluntary and community sector is desirable. We are looking for an individual with a “can do” approach who will be able to work on their own initiative as well as in a team and who can communicate effectively with members of the Council, a range of partner organisations, and the public.

This is a home working contract and the majority of duties will be carried out at home, however, employees will be contractually required to attend site on two days per month for team meetings, 121 meetings, etc. Employees may also be required to attend a site for meetings, collaborative work or to undertake work related activities. Site attendance will constitute no more than 40% of working time and includes the contractual 2 days per month.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Lisa Hall, Safer Community and Homes Manager, on 07580 591365

**Closing date: 12th February 2024**

**Interview date: 26th February 2024**
