**The difference you will make as a Head of Strategy & Planning**:
The role holder will lead the Strategy and Planning Team in developing an evidence based corporate strategy. Produce a Corporate Plan which drives the Group’s wider planning and performance management frameworks, and which is clearly articulated to internal and external stakeholders.

**Role requires you to**:

- Manage a research programme to establish a strong evidence base using internal and external data, commissioned research and other intelligence, to inform the development of a corporate strategy that is relevant to the scale, coverage and breath of activity of the Group.
- Oversee the production of the three-year Corporate Plan with associated targets, using this to develop a framework for annual business and operational planning across the Group.
- Develop a Group-wide performance management framework, which ensures the delivery of the priorities established in the Corporate Plan and drives improved performance.
- Co-ordinate the monitoring of the delivery of Corporate Plan targets, ensuring the Executive Team and Board have clear and regular visibility of progress, slippage and proposed corrective action.
- Actively disseminate clear information about the Corporate Plan and the Group’s wider strategy and operating context, ensuring that all colleagues understand their role in delivering the Group’s priorities, and external stakeholders understand the Group’s perspective on key housing and regeneration policy issues.
- Influence Government and sector-wide thinking about housing and regeneration policy, by engaging in national and regional policy networks and co-ordinating the Group’s responses to Government and regulatory consultations.
- Oversee the production of key written regulatory reports which meet published regulatory standards.
- Maintain the Group’s internal policy framework, ensuring all Group-wide policies are current and relevant, and specifically ensuring the Group has a coherent approach to equality and diversity and environmental, social and governance issues (ESG).
- Provide policy support to help the Group respond to a range of ‘one-off’ strategic initiatives including changes to Government or regulatory policy, growth opportunities, pilot projects or similar.
- Provide support to the Riverside Foundation (Riverside’s charitable arm supporting work in its communities), ensuring Trustees have the information required to distribute funds in accordance with the directives set by Riverside’s Group Board.
- Lead and develop the Strategy and Planning team to provide a high-quality service to the Group by regularly reviewing work outputs, setting improvement targets and appraising individual performance.
- Manage a revenue budget for the Strategy and Planning team in accordance with the Group’s systems and procedures.
- Ensure that all work is undertaken in a way which supports and promotes Riverside’s Values, and reinforces The Group’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Ensure that all data protection requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Identify and realise continuous improvement opportunities in accordance with change management protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure effective delivery of the wider service.
