**Job overview**:
In this exciting position at a growing worldwide airport consultancy, you will be undertaking client consultancy to support client’s effective decision-making. Activities include operational liaison with Stakeholders, obtaining key performance data, surveys, maintaining databases, producing allocation plans, driving conclusions from modelling outputs to prove/validate, providing decision support, producing reports, preparing, and presenting findings to all stakeholders.

We model the movement of passengers, baggage, vehicles, and aircraft analysing future demand and capacity, operations, resilience, new automation technology and new IT. We also undertake work on the airport of the future including eVTOL flight planning, sustainability and electrification vehicles. Our work is at the cutting edge of modelling these highly complex, integrated systems.

Clients include London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and other airports worldwide such as Schiphol, Budapest, GMR Hyderabad International, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted and Bristol Airport.

**Job Role**:
This position is a fantastic opportunity working alongside a skilled team of Airport Planners and Analysts/Simulation Engineers within an innovative and growing company. You will be able to grow your skills in a highly supportive team and will have real accountability and responsibility. With appropriate security clearance you will be working Airside at LHR and other airports to gather a ‘hands on understanding’ of the systems.

**Responsibilities**:
The role will require understanding airport processes and operations individually and holistically to support others in both the day-to-day Client work and technical development of the AiQ bespoke simulation tool, TransvisionAiR®.

**1. Client Consultancy**
- Maintain relationships with airport, airline, airport operators and handler management, operational and planning staff.
- Read and understand architectural & technical drawings
- Acquire key performance airport data
- Undertake surveys
- Assist senior consultants to prepare capacity assessments and masterplan input
- Process data, develop queries and generate reports using AiQ bespoke tool, TransvisionAiR®
- Maintain Airport Databases for TransvisionAiR®
- Make decision support recommendations to others based on modelling outcomes
- Produce presentation materials in written, numerical and graphical formats
- Present findings effectively to stakeholders
- Work on Net Zero Carbon/Sustainability surveys for Airports
- Work on modelling cutting edge technologies such eVTOL and the Airport of the Future

**2. Development Support of TransvisionAiR®**
- Report bugs and or process deficiencies to the development team
- Suggest and create product improvements
- Test software releases and bug fixes

**Education & Experience**:

- Educated to first Degree or Master's level in an Aviation discipline or Airport Planning
- Have experience working as an Airport Planner and have used airport planning tools.

**Necessary Skills (in order of priority)**

**1. Technical**
- Working knowledge of airport infrastructure & processes
- Generating Macro and Pivot Tables using spreadsheets (Excel)
- Writing Database queries (SQL). Additional training can be provided.
- Working knowledge of Baggage Systems and processes
- Ability to learn new computing skills

**2. Personal**
- Proficient communicator, fluent in English both written and verbal
- Understanding of real-world problems
- Attention to detail
- Generate ideas and evaluate consequences of planning outcomes
- Effective time management
- Ability to prioritise workload with a high level of initiative, drive, and integrity
