Trainee Loan Underwriter

Trainee Loan Underwriter - Finchley, London
- Duties include:

- Handling and assessing affordability of potential borrowers’ affordability.
- Underwriting loans to mitigate risk from initial contact through to practical loan completion.
- Analysing the UK real estate market and considering appetite for future lending
- Handling post loan matters from development funding to granting of leases.
- Managing live loan portfolio to ensure performance continues throughout term.

Skills and experience required:

- Strong numerical skills - essential
- Previous experience within lending or property finance would be preferred but full training is given.
- A recent graduate in finance/business studies or real estate would be ideal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Particularly Excel)
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience dealing with client correspondence via phone/outlook.
- Understanding of UK real estate
- Understanding of national interest rate fluctuations and impact on RE
