The Role

Fiddlers Green Retirement Village, located in Berwick is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Bus Driver to join their team on a Permanent Part-time basis. The role will require you to work Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for about 3-6 hours per day.

In this role you will provide safe transportation of our Village residents to local shopping centres and return them at the end of their outing. You will also perform other ad-hoc duties as required, such as picking up equipment, booking vehicle maintenance and basic handyman/maintenance work around the village where required.

About you

As you will be working alongside our many residents, a customer-service focus is essential, as will:
- Victorian Heavy Vehicle Licence (or above).- Experience driving a bus/people move- Experience working with elderly people, and the awareness of mobility/health and safety issues that may occur, highly desirable- Team-focused, with willingness to perform other ad-hoc duties when required.- Ability to identify when bus requires maintenance- Ability to complete basic maintenance tasks as required by Village Manager- A genuine interest in assisting the elderly

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check, will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October as well as provide proof of the COVID-19 Vaccination with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles more physical in nature, pre employment medical assessments may also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
