Our client, based in Mallusk is seeking a Machine Operator/Maintenance Engineer to join their busy and expanding Recycling Centre.
- Telescopic Forklift
- Counterbalance/Reach Forklift
- Digger
- Loading shovel.

**Please be aware that you will be working in an environment with rubbish/recycling.**

**Shift Pattern**:

- Monday - Friday 10pm-7am

**Competitive Hourly Rate** - £11.34/hr. Between 11pm & 6am 12% shift allowance will be applied.

**Overtime rate available (Time & Half)**

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Operating various machines within the MRF to include mobile machinery such as forklifts and Loading Shovels.
- Report immediately any issues with Machines to MRF Supervisor / Operations Manager
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations, & Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Ensure all Machines on site comply with the relevant H&S standards and company standard operating procedures.
- Taking apart and cleaning the conveyor belt systems.
- Ensuring the facility & its’ equipment is kept clean and tidy, with importance placed on housekeeping/cleaning throughout the shift (will include working at height)
- Any other duties as delegated by the MRF Supervisor / Operations Manager.

**Essential Criteria**
- Must have a valid licence and experience of operating one of the following machines: Telescopic Forklift, Counterbalance Forklift or Loading shovel
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to work well on own initiative
- Be self-motivated
- Ability to work well with others
- Flexible approach to work hours
- Must have the skills to perform conveyor belt maintenance.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Previous experience working in the Waste industry

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £11.34 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
