The site is a large modern purpose built property with beautiful grounds, as a colleague you will meet Ted, a wonderful dog who lives on the Brydon ward keeping residents and colleagues amused. The site even has an large free car park.

**What’s Great About the Role?**

Relief bank workers have complete control over the shifts they work and therefore it is ideal for people with other commitments or someone who wants to try something new. The manager will offer shifts with as much notice as possible, but you might be contactedon an ad-hoc basis when shift cover is needed.

You will work with the residents closely on a daily basis, assisting them to live their lives to the full. You will assist them with all of their needs (including personal care) according to their wishes. Becoming a friend and having fun with them is oneof the most important parts of the role.

Duties will include:

- Ensuring health and wellbeing of residents.
- Providing personal care and emotional support.
- Medication administration.
- Participating in stimulating activities.
- Involving residents in a person centred approach.

**What skills and experience do you need?**

A background of working with older people and dementia is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.More important are;
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player

**Key information**

There are various daytime shift times and sleep ins overnight

For this role you will require an **Enhanced DBS check**, which we pay for.

To work in this role you will need to be registered with Social Care Wales. If you’re not already we’ll help you do this as part of your recruitment process.
