Please note that LED (Locally Employed Doctor) posts are not recognised for formal training.

Duties include day-to-day medical care of orthopaedic inpatients and providing resident first on call cover for Trauma and Orthopaedics as part of a team of seven doctors. There are also opportunities to attend clinics and theatre for learning as well as weekly consultant led departmental teaching.

In order to ensure your transition and ongoing support in your role at East Cheshire Trust a package of support will be provided for you which will include, a paid 1 week structured induction within the department you will work. A designated educational and clinical supervisor for the duration of your placement at the trust and the use of a personalised ‘Horus’ portfolio in which to document your clinical/extracurricular activities. Additionally, a £500 study leave budget, pro rata if working less than full time, will be available to you to support course attendance.
