**NPD Procurement Buyer**

**Location: Nottingham**

**Term: 6 month fixed term minimum**

**Salary: Dependent on experience**

We have an opportunity for a **New Product Development Procurement Buyer** to join our team. You will be part of a leading international FMCG organisation manufacturing cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. We are offering a competitive salary along with a generous benefits package.

You will be accountable for NPD (New Project Development) Procurement activity within the UK. This includes traveling between Fareva sites to support the business when necessary.

Responsible for negotiation with suppliers of raw materials, packaging, consumable & supply agreements. You will also support the day-to-day delivery of purchasing actions for the production sites by providing solutions in line with business requirements.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Procurement NPD/EPD**
- Quoting and ensuring smooth delivery of projects within the NPD to the set timeframe.
- Negotiation on Price/MOQ/Supplier terms/Inco terms
- Working closely with R&D and commercial on projects to ensure any potential issues are avoided or navigated around.

**Supply-Chain Support/Supplier Management**
- Supplier management - review meetings working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers as an escalation point to resolve any issues and support the business.

**Customer support / Data management**
- Actioning day to day issues such as data gathering from suppliers, assisting with coding queries and supporting internal & external stakeholders as necessary.
- Sage experience or similar ERP system.
- Contact for Price, MOQ and Lead time changes for imposed/non imposed materials (Internal/Customer directed)
- Leading relevant meeting to support the business and interface with other function within it (Supply chain, Finance & QC)
- Perform related duties or activities, as assigned, within your scope of knowledge, skills or experience

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Strategic thinking, ability to implement strategies through to completion. Ability to articulate a vision.
- Strong Negotiation skills are essential as will need to focus on cost reduction and value add improvements.
- English language communication fluency is essential (strong written & verbal), French language skills desirable.
- Results focus is an essential, priority setting, planning, analytical, problem solving, persuasion and influencing.
- Drive, resilience, reliable, good listening skills and ability to work as a team and under pressure.
- Experience of a wide range of major raw material and or packaging suppliers, market knowledge, products and pricing models.

**Desirable**
- MCIPS or studying toward
- Commercial acumen, contract drafting and management.
- Demonstrable experience in procurement
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience of complex, multi supplier and multi-site environments.
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of Healthcare and Beauty industries
