**Hours: Part-time (10.5 hours per week)**

**Contract Type: Fixed-term (4 months)**

Brunel University London was established in 1966 and is a leading multidisciplinary research-intensive technology university delivering economic, social and cultural benefits.

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow to work on a 4 month research project: “Examining Masterplanning Practices”. The research fellow will conduct under the supervision of Prof Degen a literature review; observe and conduct interviews with planners, policy makers and architects involved in designing or implementing master plans; and draft articles for publication.

You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability to initiate, plan, organise, implement and deliver a programme of work to tight deadlines.

You should have in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

- Materiality, embodiment & space, urban regeneration
- Set up and conduct qualitative research projects (ethnography/interviews)
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative (basic) data
- Experience in writing reports and academic articles
- Project management
- Writing for academic and non-academic publications
