Kitchen Porter

**The Role***

We are looking for someone to fulfil a full time (40 hours) vacancy, including at least one weekend day.

This role is crucial in the running of a smooth operation. This position is suitable for all skill and experience levels however some experience in a kitchen is preferred. As long as you are willing to learn, enjoy delivering customer service, and work in a busy environment, we can teach you the rest.

- To have or be willing to complete a basic food hygiene certificate
- Some food/catering knowledge is preferred_

**Responsibilities**

Supporting the team as instructed including:

- Processing dirty dishes, cutlery and equipment as per daily requirements
- Hand washing as required
- Ensuring maintenance of the dishwasher, correct use and cleaning in line with guidelines and Food Safety standards
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained for required chemicals and cleaning equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen areas including floors & surfaces
- Disposal of rubbish including emptying bins, correct disposal of boxes
- Deep cleaning of fridges, freezers, storage areas and any other areas as instructed by chef or manager
- Assisting with deliveries including accepting goods in, storage in line with Food Safety Policy
- Control and record wastage
- Undertaking routine & ADHOC cleaning tasks to maintain the hygiene levels in the kitchen

**Assist with table clearing and restocking crockery & cutlery when required**
