**Gap Personnel, operating as an employment agency, is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Administrator for one of our well established clients based in Padiham.**

**Main purpose of the role** is to process all customer claims accurately and efficiently; record data accurately for the purpose of monitoring and analysis by a Director and to provide additional staff cover to Reception.

Shift is **Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm**, with the rate of pay of **£11 per hour**.

**Duties will include**:

- Process all customer claims in respect of damages/ shortage / over deliveries
- Enter the details of each claim accurately onto an Excel spreadsheet used to monitor all claims
- Investigate the claim to decide if a valid claim. Collate all relevant paperwork to back up the claim and present the information to the relevant Director for authorization / rejection
- Print off the credit notes, posting out the original and taking a copy for the relevant sales representative
- Scan all documentation in relation to each claim onto the paperless scanning system
- Consult with the credit control team on any disputed claims on the next action to be taken.
- If required, write to customers informing them of any disputed credit claims and check letters for 100% accuracy and appropriateness,
- Produce the Sales invoices during staff absence from a list provided by Logistics
- Provide switchboard cover in the absence of the Receptionist at break times and full-time cover during staff holidays

Contract is temporary to permanent.

- Good problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to work with staff at senior levels
- Previous experience of handling customer queries / complaints
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Prepared to be flexible
