**Job overview**:
To provide a confidential counselling service to clients of Occupational Health and to the employees of the NCA Trust or nearby contracted organisations. To assist in developing, providing and evaluating the service as a whole.

The aim of the NCA Occupational Health Department is to maintain the health and wellbeing of employees, therefore increasing productivity, reducing sickness absence and assisting in the recruitment and retention of employees.

We offer a wide range of services which benefit both staff and managers to help reduce staff sickness absence and to promote a healthy, motivated workforce.

**Main duties of the job**:
To assess, develop and implement the therapeutic interventions to those referred for Counselling.

To exercise professional judgement with regard to the discharge of clients from the service.

To provide counselling at a suitable venue that gives safety and confidentiality for the staff.

To provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information. To continually assess and manage risk.

To participate in policy discussions as relevant to the counselling service at an organizational level

Maintain the strictest confidentiality concerning Occupational Health clients
