**Are you passionate about education and would like to support our students to achieve qualifications and progress to employment? BCW Training are recruiting for tutors to deliver Retail Skills, to Apprentices and Skills for Life and Work students.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in Retail.
- Assess students' academic needs and develop personalised lesson plans to address those needs.
- Implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and facilitate learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilise classroom management techniques to ensure a productive tutoring session
- Assess individual students with a view to determining his/her basic skills. strengths and weaknesses, particularly in relation to their vocational aspirations.
- Maintain good communication with the Awarding Body to ensure training, assessment and record keeping meet the required standard.
- Ensure that the training arrangements which are provided for individual students meet all the required criteria necessary to meet the NVQ/Vocational units being undertaken.
- Operate an effective system of training and assessment which sets out clear targets for trainees and record meetings held.
- Carry out monthly reviews and assessment of individual students performance.
- Liaise with Awarding Body regarding delivery, accreditation and certification.

**Experience**:

- Level 3 Retail/Customer Service qualification.
- Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
- Teaching Qualification - Minimum Level 4 Certificate in Teaching
- 2+ years' experience working in industry (Retail)
- 1+year's experience delivering NVQs in Retail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport
- Achievement of A1 Assessors Award **(Desirable)**:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
- Excellent organisational skills for lesson planning and record keeping.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

**Salary**: £18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 per week
