**Hours as and when required - covering days, evenings, weekends and occasional waking nights**

Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

We are seeking a Bank Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, Corner House is based at the newly refurbished care home near to Mansfield town centre, providing support and enablement for adults with learning disabilities.

**The role of Bank Care and Support Assistant will include**:

- Delivering a high level of personalised care and support and encouraging our residents to live as independent as possible
- Encouraging resident integration and inclusion into the community
- Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
- Supporting residents with washing, dressing, bathing and hygiene
- Assisting residents with shopping, cleaning and laundry tasks
- Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our residents
- Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records

**Skills and experiences**:

- Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar, care related role
- Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
- Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
- NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
