Experienced Back-end Developer

This visual technology company is expanding their team and are looking for a talented and experienced backend developer to review and improve their internal solutions, systems and workflows. Relevant commercial experience with system integrations is crucialfor this role.

The team are a unique blend of strategists, technologists, developers and artists that provide innovative solutions for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industry. They offer flexible working (unless there is a tight deadline) in a friendly atmosphere,and directors are easily approachable if there are any problems.
The most important part of the job is to improve their current back-end system to be easier to use for nontechnical people and more automated. They will also require working with other team members on current and new in-house solutions and workflows. If you'rean expert in refactoring code, with a creative and forward-thinking mind and commercial experience with system integrations, but still can listen to other team members and change projects and goals based on company priorities - then it's great work for you.It can be challenging but also very rewarding. You will also be required to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
To be successful here, you'll need
- Back-End Developer with at least 5 years of commercial experience in back-end systems, databases and internal workflow optimisations
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and Python frameworks, including jQuery and AngularJS and DJango
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (unit testing)
- Extensive knowledge of PHP, Python and MySQL
- Extensive knowledge of C#
- Extensive experience with Docker and Ubuntu
- Passionate about technology and its relationship with business and user experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex and technical concepts to non
- technical audiences
- Knowledge of Agile development
- Knowledge of control software (SVN/GIT etc)
Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Comfortable with client/server architectures and REST-based APIs
- Familiarity with WebSockets
- Collaborative / team player
- Strong communication skills
- Some experience with Statamic
