As a Barclays Product Controller, you will have a close working relationship with the trading desks focusing on control, service, and reporting. We are a central point of contact for many issues that affect the bank including new product approval, model validation and independent verification of derivative valuations. The product control team is a global team with presence in Singapore, Chennai, London, and New York and regular teamwork is required across all these teams to ensure high standards of production and delivery is maintained.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Helping resolve multiple front to back booking differences within the Credit Special Situations and Par business due to restructures and current fragmented infrastructure
- Supporting daily ad hoc across the credit PC teams and the front office and infrastructure partners with any ad hoc issues encountered
- Working closely with Financial Control, and TAG when required, to ensure that the general ledger and financial statements accurately reflect the financial position of the business
- Assisting in fully way the Credit Business, initially Credit Special Situations and Par Loans then helping resolve other issues in other PC teams
- Reviewing restructures and balance sheet valuations, initially covering FOBO reconciliations to ensure all breaks are fully reconciled and substantiated
- Evaluating of management information produced by the Product Control team, and reviewing Key Reporting Indicators to ensure that controls are being run effectively
- Booking streams and lifecycles reviewing as the role develops more product classes

**What we’re looking for**:

- A Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2:1 degree or equivalent
- Proven effective management of senior stakeholders outside of finance; proven ability to work effectively with remote teams
- Experience explaining material profit and loss events and linking these to market events
- Demonstrated experience reporting in a financial services environment
