Contribute to the efficient running of the Mental Health Act (MHA) Department under the direction of the Mental Health Act Administrator.

Provide efficient and effective administration of the Mental Health Act process.

Contribute to the maintenance of efficient communication with other departments and agencies.

Provide cover for Mental Health Act Administrator when required.

Maintenance of detailed and accurate electronic records of MHA activity.

Provision of advice and information to CFT staff with regard to the administration of the Mental Health Act.

Contribute to the efficient running of the MHA/MCA department under the direction of the MHA Administrator.

Contribute to the maintenance of efficient communication with other departments and agencies.

Provision of advice and information to CFT staff with regard to the administration of the Liberty Protection Safeguards, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act.

Management and Personal Development

Provide cover for Mental Health Act Administrator when required.

Administrative

Provide efficient and effective administration of the Liberty Protection Safeguards, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act processes.

Maintenance of detailed and accurate electronic records of LPS and MHA activity.

Take minutes of meetings as and when required.

Travel to other sites within CFT for meetings and reviews as required.

Maintain strict confidentiality.

Comply with the Trust’s policies and procedures.

Any other duties commensurate with the post holder’s band as agreed with their line manager.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Approximately 568,000 people live her. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increase the numbers of people who use out services.
