Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is building on its Foundation Trust status and impressive track record and a vacancy for a Multi skilled Craftsperson Building (Joiner) has arisen within the Estates Maintenance Department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who has a willingness to adapt and to learn, you will assist other Maintenance Craftsmen and other trained staff in carrying out maintenance duties throughout the hospital and other unit premises and undertake unsupervised routine maintenance.

You will be required to carry out or oversee the repair/planned and unplanned maintenance, of all building structures, fabric and finishes, and the implementation of minor building works associated with premises administered by the Estates & Facilities Division. You will be required to carry out when required, where you are deemed competent, duties in other trades appertaining to Estates & Facilities and the operational function of the Division, in the pursuit of a fully flexible workforce.
To succeed in the role you will have a completed a time served apprenticeship or similar structured training program with post qualification experience in joinery, and possess a City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC,TEC or equivalent National Qualifications Framework level 3 qualifications in Joinery along with a good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and guidance.
The Estates Maintenance Department provides a varied range of building and engineering services to Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust in order to maintain the buildings and associated services in line with current legislation and standards. The department is committed to the ongoing training of their staff to a high standard in order to comply with legislation and to ensure that the patient environment is maintained so as to be safe but in a cost effective and efficient manner.

The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1991 and became a Foundation Trust in April 2008.
