**Location**: This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between the Office at Bracknell and working from home. However, there will also be an expectation to visit local competitor locations (supermarkets) on a regular basis. The team aims for 3 to 4 days a week in the office to connect and to attend key meetings.
**Salary Range**:£19,030.00 - £24,300.00
**Partnership Level**:10
**Mobility for this role is required to be able to visit different locations of competitor supermarkets and travel to Bracknell is required.**
**About the role**
**Have you ever wondered how our own brand products remain the best on the market?**
A key part of this role will be facilitating the delivery of our product quality assurance programme that helps to set Waitrose & Partners apart from our competitors with best in class quality products which delight our customers. A significant proportion of your time will be spent shopping for and cooking up/preparing products for quality assessment by our category teams.
**Responsibilities**:
Facilitate routine & ad hoc product quality assessments in line with our Quality Assurance Programme as required. This includes cooking, preparation and sampling of food or non-food items from across the entire Waitrose product assortment.
Responsible for shopping & accurate presentation of food & non-food products for assessments along with accurate data recording for further analysis.
Visiting Waitrose stores and competitors to buy/compare products ready to prepare them for assessment sessions.
**Essential skills you’ll need**
- Excellent time management & prioritisation skills
- This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between the Office at Bracknell and working from home. - Confident working within a kitchen environment and be able to use appliances/working with open food
- Excellent food preparation and cooking practices
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong team player and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Good understanding of basic IT software (eg MS Office / Google)
**Desirable skills**
- Culinary or catering background
- Grocery retail background
