We are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to lead a team of warehouse operatives on the afternoon 2pm-10pm shift, for a busy Pharmaceutical Distribution company based in Basingstoke (RG24 8PD).

**Principle Accountabilities**:

- Drive the daily performance of operatives to achieve or exceed budgeted productivity and quality targets within a warehouse operation, in alignment with departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Implement the daily staffing plan, ensuring optimum operational output at all times, and promptly escalate any areas of concern to the Line Manager.
- Ensure all staff members understand and adhere to the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal products for Human use (2013/C 68/01), as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) - REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1. Facilitate training and annual refreshers on this SOP, as well as job-specific GDP training as per personal training matrix.
- Deliver training on operational procedures and processes, as directed by the Management Team, in accordance with company strategy. Focus on areas such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Standard Operating Practice (SOPs), with particular emphasis on maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Endorse, promote, and manage team briefings, training sessions, and, if applicable, one-on-one meetings and return-to-work processes for first and second instances of absence, in collaboration with the Management Team.
- Support staff members on a day-to-day basis to help them achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Fulfill reasonable requests determined by the Centre Management Team, actively promoting and supporting company initiatives.
- Provide support and cover for the shift Floor Team Leader (FLM) duties when they are away and be flexible with shift expectations.

**Skills / Knowledge**:

- Ability to engage and motivate staff members, fostering positive conditions in the workplace.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills, with a primary focus on staff management.
- Familiarity with department-specific systems and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to use initiative within predefined boundaries.
- Strong prioritization skills within predefined boundaries.
- Knowledge of Transport and Warehouse Distribution processes.
- Familiarity with Security, Audit, and Compliance processes.
- Good oral and written communication skills.

**Key Working Relationships**:

- CDC Management Team
- Team Members
- Internal customers

**Level of Decision Making**:

- Once training is completed, this role has some autonomy in decision making within the limits set by company policy and the Centre Management Team.
- Collaborate with team members and the Management Team to develop recommendations for process and procedure improvements.

**Additional Information**:

- Flexibility is required regarding overtime, including weekends and Bank Holiday working, to meet the needs of the business. Notice will be given as far in advance as possible.
- Possibility of covering various aspects of the direct line manager's role, leading to future career development opportunities.

**Salary**: £26,000.00 per year
