**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title - Part Time Drug/Alcohol Residential recovery worker - Jatis Project Torbay**

**Salary Pro Rata**

**Job Purpose**

Working in partnership with local drug/alcohol treatment services, the post holder will provide ongoing recovery support for Jatis clients. The post holder will also provide ongoing psycho social support to maintain ongoing recovery. This post will specifically serve the Torbay area.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Communication & Working Relationships**
- To report to senior practitioners on issues related to the safe and effective delivery of care (B15)
- To provide advice and information both face to face and by telephone as required (AD4)
- To attend meetings both within the service and with partner agencies.
- To provide verbal and written information as requested as per services users recovery needs (BE6)
- Liaise with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies where there is consent to share (AA3, AG3)
- To support individual needs.
- To provide cover to the group work programmes within Jatis

**Planning and Organisation**
- To be responsible for managing your time, to the most effective, deliver the clinical and service objectives. (BD2, BG3, BF6)
- To attend meetings as requested by your line manager

**Responsibility for Patient/Client Care, Treatment & Therapy**
- To consider all clients needs, such as housing, employment, education and general health within the individual support plan.
- To assess risk and to communicate this appropriately to all agencies/individuals involved in the clients support
- To facilitate groups as required for clients for the community rehab programme.
- To undertake all duties with Jatis CIC policies and in accordance with local and national standards for Drug and Alcohol Services (BD3)
- To maintain appropriate accurate and up to date client records as directed by the Service manager (BE4)
- To liaise and work jointly with partnership agencies, service user and carer groups, with both statutory and non-statutory sectors as appropriate (AA3, AG3)
- Promote choice, well-being and the protection of individual clients (AA6)

**Policy, Service, Research & Development Responsibility**
- To participate in the audit process within the service.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings..
- Represent and promote the work and role of Jatis and drugs and alcohol service in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies and within local community.
- Keep abreast of current research, literature and other developments relevant to work with this client group and to own professional sphere.
- Attend appropriate training courses, conferences etc.
- Maintain training links with appropriate professional discipline.

**Responsibility for Finance, Equipment & Other Resources**
- To provide regular reports/spreadsheets as required.

**Information Resources & Administrative Duties**
- To use agreed assessment, support planning and outcome measurement tools.
- To use service electronic case and data management systems, following appropriate training, as directed by your line manager.
- Maintain client records and information securely and in strict confidence.

**Any Other Specific Tasks Required**
- To assist your line manager in assessing the development of the service, as needed.
