Counselling Coordinator

Working within the Student Services team the Counselling Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of student referrals and working with colleagues to develop and promote a coordinated mental health support provision. Working within a brief counselling model the postholder will work with students to explore their emotional wellbeing and assist their navigation through their Higher Education journey.

At the heart of the role will be managing a case load of student referrals ensuring that students are assessed in a timely manner. Working closely with the Mental Health Advisor the postholder will ensure that appropriate triage systems are utilised and that support is seamless and joined up. They will also work with partners both internal and external to build up a network of alternative provision which will ensure a diverse and adaptable offer to students seeking support. Working closely with colleagues in Student Services the role will play an active role in raising awareness of the support offer available to students.

Interviews will take place on 25th September 2023
