**Job Title**: Assistant HR Officer
**Responsible to**: Senior HR Officer
**Location**: Bryson House, 28 Bedford Street, Belfast
**Job Purpose**
The post holder’s primary role is to assist the HR Senior team in providing a high quality, cost effective HR Service that meets the needs of Bryson Charitable Group.
As part of the HRD team the post holder will be required to provide all necessary support as required to HR management and the group as a whole. This will require you to work flexibly and collaboratively with all Group companies in a professional manner to contribute to the provision and development of a broad ranging generalist human resource service.
**Key Responsibilities**
**HR Generalist**
- Support HR Officers to provide a HR advisory service to managers and staff as required
- Interpret and advise on relevant employment legislation and best practice
- To advise managers on absence management in line with the organisations policies and procedures
- To assist in the design and implementation of policies and procedures
- Supporting HRD Management Team in the administration of grievances, disciplinary actions etc through putting together case-files, and note-taking at meetings where required
- Issuing all correspondence in relation to all maternity / paternity leave
- Inputting exit details on access database and update HR Officer if issues are identified
**Recruitment and Selection**
- Provide an effective and accurate end to end support service to Managers to meet their recruitment needs
- Provide advice to recruiting managers on selection criteria and key tasks with job descriptions and personal specification
- Review new start packs when returned to HR from recruiting managers to include on boarding of new starts and ensuring they receive relevant contracts of employment etc
**HR Information Systems**
- Creating, updating and maintaining accurate personnel records both in hard copy and using the PAMs HR system using efficient filing systems for all staff.
- Accurately inputting self cert / fitness for work forms onto PAMs.
- Running weekly and monthly absence reports
- To process, update and administer any changes to employee terms and conditions as and when required in a timely matter
- As part of the team, provide regular reports from Crystal and PAMS when required on
KPIs to include Staff Turnover, Sickness and Absence, Appraisal completion/returns, summary of Disciplinary, Grievance & Poor Performance sanctions/cases & recruitment statistics, training reports
**General**
- To maintain accurate and efficient filling systems both computerised and manual, to include retention of employee files
- Processing referrals to Staff Care and Occupational Health in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality throughout
- Process leavers from the group in an efficient and timely manner to include acknowledging resignations
- Issuing the annual monitoring report for the Equality Commission
- To undertake training as and when required.
- To adhere to Bryson policies and procedures
- To maintain confidentiality at all times, ensuring that personal details are recorded and stored as appropriate and in line with data protection.

**Terms and Conditions**
**Length of Contract**: Permanent
**Salary**: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum
**Hours**: 35 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
**Holidays**: 20 days annual leave (increasing to 27 with length of service)
12 statutory days
**Essential Criteria**
- 5 GCSE’s at grade C and above (including Maths and English), or equivalent
- Minimum one year’s proven HR Administration experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Minimum one year’s experience using a HR Database
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
