We are looking to recruit a Duty Supervisor to support in the day-to-day management of Cirencester Arena.

Our well-established facility is celebrating being 20 years old this year and we are as popular as ever offering a wide range of activities such as 6-a-side leagues, private hire, walking football, birthday parties, bubble football, tournaments, holiday coaching, after school clubs and corporate hire. We also have an on-site viewing gallery overlooking our two top of the range indoor 3g pitches; this area also has a fully licensed bar and separate function room.

We want to continue to provide a high-quality experience for our visitors and will need our new team-member to lead by example with an excellent customer service mindset. As the facility is open 7-days a week, there will be a need for shift work and flexibility to cover weekends and other team-members holidays.

We want to develop our new team member into a role, to manage a small team within a fast-paced environment. There will be differing busy periods of customer visits, so being organised, enthusiastic and be able to keep their team motivated is a requirement. We will offer support and training where needed to help you develop into the role and beyond.

**Full Job Description**
- **Team Management**_
- To supervise the part time members of staff including coaches and referees
- To ensure that the facility is correctly staffed at all times
- To monitor any training needs of the team and arrange sessions before any expire
- To monitor your team ensuring opening hours are covered, including any late bookings
- To work with the HR Director and GM on any employee relations issues
- To lead by example and ensure that all machinery and equipment operated by team-members is done so in a safe and correct manner using all safety devices and practices, arranging training and supervision where required
- To follow open-up and close-down process for Managers and team members.
- Work with GM to motivate, train and maintain a team of staff
- **Health & Safety**_
- Monitor the team’s awareness of safeguarding including any reporting processes of a breach
- Cooperating with the GM or external agency to ensure that statutory requirements concerning Health and Safety are met
- To ensure all equipment, facilities and services offered and used are managed under the correct Health & Safety regulation
- To assist with regular Health & Safety inspections
- To exercise due diligence in relation to Health & Safety, ensuring that the operation complies with all relevant statutory legislation
- To ensure safety checks are completed and logged daily
- To ensure any H&S breaches or hazards are reported to the GM with urgency
- To leave work areas clean and tidy, ensuring hazards are not created during works carried out in the facility
- **Marketing**_
- To manage and monitor the Cirencester Arena social media presence to raise our profile within the wider community
- Reviewing marketing for the Cirencester Arena to ensure that we are advertising our facility and effectively promoting any offers
- To advertise any upcoming events
- To develop special offers and events to agree with the GM, ready for roll-out
- To source inexpensive methods of advertising
- To engage local business to advertise with us using Affordable Advertising
- **Facility Supervision**_
- To control and monitor all assets and stock both fixed and disposal, carrying out stock takes and order where necessary
- To periodically review quotes for replacement items both fixed and disposed
- To communicate, and report daily status updates on events, maintenance, and staffing to the GM.
- To monitor and review rates, contracts to ensure we are always paying the most cost-effective prices.
- Responsible for safeguarding equipment and stock
- To record and document cleaning activities
- Able to work within a budget and achieve targets
- Will be a key holder and will be added to the emergency call-out list
- Will carry out regular cashing up of the daily takings
- **Training**_

We will discuss a development plan with the new team member on joining and agree a plan going forward to cover any gaps. We require our new team-member to have up to date First Aid certificate plus Fire Safety Regulations, Food Hygiene and Health & Safety in the workplace, however, can also arrange for renewal training on joining. A clear enhanced DBS certificate will also be required and requested in readiness for joining.

**Salary**: £24,500.00 per year
