**Our Opportunity**
The Thales UAS Trials and Training Centre (UTTC) delivers Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Training flight operations of large complex Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) for UK MoD and other customers. Thales is continuing to expand its UAS capability, providing an exciting opportunity to join the team for the T&E capability.
The Head of UTTC is a central management figure and Customer-facing role for the delivery of T&E across UAS programmes. The role reports directly to the Head of the UAS Portfolio and is a member of the UAS leadership team. The Head of UTTC is responsible for T&E project delivery, ensuring that the activities taking place at West Wales Airport are aligned with business objectives, managed in accordance with Thales business processes, and provide an efficient service to the UAS business. The role involves management of the remote T&E team and responsibility for the Thales and MoD infrastructure and assets at West Wales Airport.
**Occasional travel required to other UK Thales and customer sites.**
**About You**
You will
- Be autonomous, capable of supporting a highly technical, remote team to deliver challenging project objectives
- Have an Air awareness; ability to manage teams to deliver within air safety constraints
- Be good at working under pressure
- It would be advantageous if you have previously worked within UAS Flight operations
