Head of Finance

Our client is a growing infrastructure technology business who is seeking to hire a Head of Finance to take ownership of their UK&I business. The role will manage a team of 3 direct and 12 indirect reports and will be the main business partner to the UK&I Managing Director.- Create a first class finance function within an SAP environment.
- Ensure those within the department have skills and competencies to provide a high level of service and ensure that the future growth of the business can be supported, with consideration to succession planning.
- Engage with fellow SMT members to ensure that all interfaces are well managed, synergies occur, and direction is given with regard to financial and commercial perspectives.
- Participate within the SMT to plan, develop and implement strategy and organisational development and growth whilst supporting and controlling the departments in delivering this.
- Oversee all insurance and financial functions for the business, including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting, whilst taking direction from the SMT and Managing Director, ensuring that all processes comply with statutory, business requirements and are able to be approved by internal and external auditors and official bodies.
- Ensure that required external reporting to bodies such as HMRC and Companies House is carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
- Support the business in such a way that progress to meeting the financial targets set by group on an annual, or more frequent basis, can be reviewed and appropriate actions taken to ensure performance is optimised.
- Ensure that communication throughout the Department is regular, cascaded from the Commercial & Finance Director and engages the full workforce within the Department. Communication must be upwards as well as downwards to ensure that the potential within the organisation is met.
- In conjunction with the Directors of the business and HR, carry out regular reviews of the business including strategic preparation and future goals, giving specific observations on financial/commercial elements.
- Ensure that formal and informal reporting is carried out throughout the Department and into the business accurately, and as regularly as required and is properly supported by the underlying financial records.
- Provide support to business with bids and tenders that directly impact profit and other financial performance.
A salary of £75,000-£80,000 is on offer plus £6k car allowance and 10% bonus
