**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Recycling Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day recycling of waste across the whole of the Numatic site, including the collection of office and hazardous waste. Tasks include maintaining a clean and tidy work environment for Numatic International employees.

Following appropriate training, the operation of dangerous machinery will be required, such as Forklift Truck, Road Sweeper and Telehandler.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide information to other employees relating to site services activities, communicating progress and requirements to relevant stakeholders.
- Work within a workshop or factory environment, regularly working in noisy, dusty, oily environments, at height, outside in all weathers, sometimes dealing with human waste, bodily fluids and hazardous waste. The use of PPE is essential.
- Work largely reactively, carry out routine tasks, in accordance with supervisory instructions
- Report faults and compliance issues to Recycling Team Leader to ensure quick diagnosis of routine problems.
- Support the Recycling Team Leader on business improvement projects.
- Ensure that health & safety practices, legislation and company procedures are always adhered to.
- Liaise and pass information to relevant managers, to ensure an optimised solution is developed to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces.
- Respond to management requests in a timely and professional manner.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- GCSE Level 2 or above (GCSE grade A-E) in English and Maths **or relevant work experience.**
- Experienced forklift driver
- Full driving license essential
- Experience of providing support to management.
- Demonstrable experience of showing ability to follow verbal and written instructions, read and comprehend written materials.
- Knowledge and understanding of recycling initiatives.
- Desirable; Experience of handling hydraulic lifting equipment.

**HOURS**:
Day Shift Monday - Thursday 07.30 - 16.15 Friday 07.30 - 12.30

**Salary**: £12.03-£13.77 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
