Warehouse Operative

**Reporting to**:Warehouse manager

**Main purpose of the role**:
To support the production requirements of the Warehouse facility. This will be a varied role which will involve using cutting machines, hand tools and other warehouse tools. There might be a requirement to drive a flatbed vehicle from time to time.

**Main responsibilities and tasks**:

- To be able to read drawings
- Cut aluminum profiles to the required length (mm perfect)
- Receive goods
- Help Loading Vehicles
- Wrap and Pack items for despatch
- Pick and Pack items accurately
- Observe Health and Safety procedures
- Be a Team Player
- Have a good eye for quality

**Key Attributes**

The person must have a good warehouse working background and be able to work on his own initiative as well as being able to follow instructions. The ability to work safely either on his own or within a team environment is very important.

The previous use of cutting machines would be an advantage although not essential as fully training will be provided.

If the person had a valid forklift license this would be a distinct advantage as the need to move materials around the warehouse on a daily and is on-going requirement. Also, the need to load and off load vehicles is a requirement with the use of a forklift.

The person must be a team player and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

They must be punctual and reliable and flexible in their attitude to work and what they are asked to do.

Starting Salary £20-23k

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
