Saturday Caretaker

Caretaker required every other Saturday at a school in Wigan. Hours of work are Saturday 07:45-16:30. £17.42 per hour.

You will only be contracted to work 20 weeks of the year but so that you are paid all year a seasonal deduction is applied. The spread over rate of pay is £13.62 per hour

- Perform general caretaking duties, including cleaning and maintaining the premises
- Ensure that all areas are kept clean and organized
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and kitchen areas
- Empty trash and replace garbage bags
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary

- Previous experience in commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Excellent time management skills to ensure all duties are completed within designated timeframes
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers and supervisors
