**Main responsibilities as our Project Manager - R&D**:
**Reporting to the Head of Engineering your main activities and responsibilities will include**:

- Manage a team to work on the design of new products across the Meech product range.
- Project manage new product developments from product initiation to launch;
- Liaising with the engineering group on new product developments and proposed enhancements of existing product ranges;
- Working with the Engineering and Production teams as detailed below;
- Assisting the administration of projects from receipt of enquiry to completion;
- Liaising with customers, keeping the parties informed of project progress (including sales personnel, where relevant);
- Selecting and sourcing of bought out components, such as fans and electrical panels;
- Ensuring Writing of instruction manuals and documentation is completed by team as required by customers;
- Overseeing the testing of systems prior to shipping (production department will assemble systems) as requested;
- Providing specialist technical support as required;
- Producing technical drawings that may be required for the production of parts to be used across the Meech business units.
- Leading product redesign to continuously improve Meech products;
- Supporting the team to ensure that the team liaise with suppliers to discuss drawings and requirements and produce Bills of Materials for new parts.
- If required, producing technical drawings that may be required for the production of parts needed for the project and producing bills of materials.

**Skills, knowledge and experience required by our Project Manager - R&D**:

- Based at Meech’s UK head office in Witney, Oxfordshire;
- Willingness to travel as required, primarily within the UK and Europe but globally when necessary;
- Project engineering and R&D experience;
- Mechanical design engineering skills;
- Good awareness of electrical engineering;
- Ability to read engineering drawings;
- Good project management, organisation and communication skills, coupled with a flexible and cooperative approach.
